I am somewhat concerned that we have a representative from M/A Com and God
knows what other entities monitoring this site, to, clarify any statements
made. This board is a public entity and I will not dispute any individual's
right to join this forum. For those who read my earlier post regarding M/A
Com in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania wherein I used the descriptor
"albatross," this prompted a private e-mail from above questioning the use
of that term. I thought I was being more tactful than the comments I hear
from actual users. So, I am willing to compromise. Our governor described
Pennsylvania's Statewide System as a "mess." That should satisfy every
one. I would hope that other forum members residing in Pennsylvania would
enlighten the gentleman from New York.
So, hear is my challenge to M/A Com OpenSky. Why not license UNIDEN or GRE
monitor your equipment. The system buyer can always encrypt.
Although this particular site is dedicated to federal government activities,
I am certain that we all monitor local and regional public service entities.
Oh, yes if someone from MOTOROLA is out there. Your digital systems aren't
much better (e.g. Philadelphia), but at least you have the "balls" to
respect scanner hobbyists.
