Well Arthur-Bryan..
It all starts with EACH of us on the list searching/monitoring federal
frequencies; reporting our findings to the list; and this in turn will allow
analysis.
I think it would be great if YOU would report what federal radio activity
you are monitoring from your location (don't recall seeing any log
postings). It would be fantastic IF EVERYONE on the list would on at least
a quarterly basis (every 3 months or so) summarize what federal frequencies
are active in their geographic monitoring area. Perhaps just a simple
reporting format (or whatever list members want to provide) : Frequency
order (modulation e.g. P25 or NFM), (Encrypted or Non-Encrypted) (CTCSS or
DCS if known), potential agency using, & whether simplex, repeater, or
repeater input, or trunked & additional remarks.
Of course if only opinions, gripes, & requests for information are posted
to the list than we really will never get a good idea nationwide of actual
federal frequencies in use versus what's in the various frequency
directories.
