Recently, a colleague posted a question asking why there is no discussion of
DHS frequencies.  This, to me, was one of the more interesting questions
asked.  So, for whatever it is worth, I'll attempt a response.  I don't know
if the DHS actually dispatches vehicles to a site using their own vehicles
as would the FBI, USSS, etc,  So after scratching my head, I found some
notes regarding this subject.  Apparently, there is/was speculation that
166.4625 would be/could be/would most likely be the nationwide common
frequency for the DHS.  On a not so reliable web site, I did find 167.2375
(PL 167.9) posted as DHS/FBI and 171.1750 (PL 167.9) listed as "DHS Radio
Net".  I seriously doubt the accuracy of this information.  Otherwise, my
colleague is correct, I cannot find any credible discussion or posting of
DHS frequencies.
