[FedCom] (Michigan) & Others National Forests Air Patrols?

Many years ago when I lived in the Oscoda MI area, I use to monitor patrol 
aircraft (I think it was a contractor) that would fly the Huron National 
Forest area & report in at certain checkpoints.. Wondering if these air 
patrols still take place in MI as well as other states.

you can click down by state & than by forest name to even get a general map, 
etc...

Perhaps one of the hobby magazines writers will decided to do a series on 
national forests & radio frequencies/systems in place?
