Ken, Gil, and the group - 

   Thanks for the caveat. As with anyone else, have no wish to hear 
'on-scene' narrative nor learn of anything one shouldn't. Originally from that area so 
local points of interest are still of interest, in a hometown sense of the 
phrase.

   No options acceptable vis-a-vis year in stir vs. three w/o scanner. Either 
way life ruined. Isn't it so easy to momentarily forget that ours is a new 
era? Well prior to internet a group of us living there apprised one another - 
after the fact - re interesting comms heard in the shack. Sometimes what we 
discussed - after it had long gone down - made the papers, most times not. In 
every case, that which we heard remained with us.
