[FedCom] DEA Operation

I believe you make an excellent point. As other agents were joing in
eyeballing moving vehicles, yes, some of the 7 8 or agents I heard were
getting some kind of interference (sounded choppy), but the switch was made
as they were all closing in on the "target(s)". That is the most critical
element of any op. so since everyone was in closer proximity, simplex would
limit the range of comms.

I have A1 listed as a repeater channel while A3 is simplex only. Maybe some
agents were not making the repeater. Not sure if that is true nationwide or
regional.

Arrests were made about 6:15. The call to switch from A-1 to A-3 was made
by the agent in charge allegedly because some of the units were unable to
copy the comms. Personally, I would not be able to explain why A-3 would be
any different than A-1.

Excellent, Arthur-Bryan. Glad to see that there's something to listen to for
you.
Keep us posted, but not too much (at least until the operation is
complete)...

About an hour ago the DEA began an extensive operation in a location I will
not disclose. They used A-1 analog and "in the clear". As they are moving
closer to their "target(s), they switched to A-3.
