Got to admit that driving and trying to search, find, & write a note about
the activity on the frequency can be a significant challenge!!!
However, it always helpful to get an idea of not only frequencies that are
active but a bit more about the frequencies found. . e.g.
1. Formal or informal communications
2. Callsigns being utilized?
3. Simplex, Repeater, Duplex operations?
4. Basic time(s) of monitoring the activity
5. Signal strength (if you have the capability) throughout the commute
area?
Generally, when one searches & finds active frequencies. The next step is
to put them in a scanner bank & perform more intense monitoring to identify
additional frequency usage information as above.
