Subject: [FedCom] Interop Freqs Usage?
In the "Monitoring Times" magazine Feb 2006 edition, Larry Van Horn has an
article "Interoperability: The Real Story" and he lists two pages of
interoperability frequencies.
In the federal bands he lists about 33 VHF highband freqs & approx 53 UHF
(399 to 420 mhz) interoperable, interagency, itinerant use freqs....
Take a look at the article but has anyone really ever head operations on any
of these freqs, especially the new interagency authorizations that came out
a few years back?
The NTIA's Red Book http://www.ntia.doc.gov/osmhome/redbook/redbook.html
also has the freqs listed http://www.ntia.doc.gov/osmhome/redbook/4c.pdf
but it may take it bit of work
to extract all of them....
Seems like a good research project in the future
Ken
