Rambling thoughts....

: Interestingly, I was talking recently with one of the local mail delivery
: persons, and the individual was telling me that they have to lock their
mail
: delivery trucks when they get out of them to deliver the mail.

A friends daughter has been a postal carrier since the early 70's.  They
have been required to secure the trucks since she started.

: BTW the primariy reason is the concern that a mail truck would be stolen
by
: a terrorist,

And all the cookie samples and free detergent stolen?  Taking into
consideration the detruction of the mail in the current system, having it
stolen and blown up somewhere would almost be better.

:but also security of the mail.

And we know how secure mail is once it leaves the hands of the carrier...
