Of course it is not new Bill, ask any ham, but ask any rep whether they will
recommend crossbanding or a nice new Trunking System that can also
crossband. I would not want a dispatcher trying to relay msgs from one side
to another unless it was very infrequent. Once there has been proper
training of the users, plug it in, SWITCH IT ON AS NEEDED, and let the
dispatcher listen to see if a dispatcher service is needed. IMHO..

Cross-banding and/or Patching is nothing new.
A Good Dispatcher is worth more. However, Cambridge MA Trunk has been
patched
for years. Fire to the Fire Mutual aid and Police to the Police Mutual
aid channels on a Full Time basis.
Who is actually using the Interop Channels. confirmed usage, not rumors.
