Just a quick note on interference issues.. About 2 years ago (2/17/04
edition Springfield (MA) "Republican" - '"Police: Man Used Radio To
Harass") a local small town PD was having problems with someone getting on
their dispatch frequency and making rude comments. The U.S. Secret Service
Office from Boston actually aided local & state police in tracking down the
intefering signal, NOT the FCC. The final disposition of the case is
unknown & was never published in the paper.

http://www.secretservice.gov/ --- Looking at their mission statement, not
sure how this fit in but apparently they had the equipment available to find
the signal. There is something on their site about "voice recognition" as
well as "telecommunications fraud" (use to be a big thing on cloning of
cellphones).....

Anyone else ever hear of USSS tracking down radio signals?
