Even after that many sources of federal/military frequencies were available
FOR SALE and BY SUBSCRIPTION to the general public by the Government
Printing Office (GPO), the Defense Mapping Agency, and others.
For years, as a private citizen, I had an "Official Identification Card" and
I.D. Number issued to me by the Defense Mapping Agency because I was a
subscriber to the IFR Supplement and other publications.
