According to an article in the Boston Globe Sunday Magazine a few weeks 
ago, this changed in mid January. It was quite a long piece about local 
PD's and Fed's hunting down bank robbers in the area.

Unless, callsigns for the Boston office have changed in recent years, 
to the
best of my knowledge, Victor units are the Bank Robbery Task Force. 
These
historically were the units you would always hear alerted immediately 
after
a bank was robbed.

Anybody have information to the contrary or more recent?
