Yes Castle was listed in Bob Kelty's book and  was  apparently a name for the 
WH in DC but this was an especially New York City  thing.  We heard this from 
NYC., especially when there was a detail in  Manhattan or going to or leaving 
Manhattan.  I frequently heard it when a  convoy was coming in from JFK 
airport - 'passing Castle' or 'nearing Castle' ,  'how far are you from Castle?'
