[FedCom] WARNING about new ICOM receivers.

Check the info on your site for the ICOM 2500 -- that's where I copied the specs from. I suspected that these might represent the Asian release model, but "inquisitive readers want to know." It wouldn't be the first time Asian manufacturers released a model that cut out important American coverage (besides cellular). I still have a little Radio Shack Pro-93 that won't receive 868.9875 (which is part of the Lawrence, KS trunk). Sloppy planning on RS's part. Other than that, the ICOM 2500 looks promising for exploratory purposes, altho' it lacks trunking, and it shouldn't be plagued with images like the Winradio I have. Maybe.

Keep in mind I do not work in the Grove offices. I'm a field guy. ;-)))

I will call the office this afternoon to see where they got this stuff at.
Looks like the web people didn't do their homework at Universal or Grove.

Why, the GROVE ENTERPRISE website, of course. In fact I "selected" and
copied the list directly from there to my email message. They were also
posted on the Universal Radio website.

I believe I said specifically that that was a possibility. But with your
own website listing coverage as missing various segments of the milair, 400,
800 and 900 MHz. bands, I feel that concern about what one might be
ordering/'buying is not being overly concerned with freq. coverage. Those
segments are simply not disposable. I'd still encourage anyone buying these
radios before things are clarified by actual sales here in the US to get a
guarantee of coverage in writing before sending a check.
