Customs Re: [FedCom] 169.45 Activity?

To elaborate on JER1538A at aol.com's response, 169.4500 MHz is Customs &
Border Protection NET 2 (input is 171.0750 MHz) or TAC 2 simplex.

This frequency was once referred to as the ALLIANCE frequency, as it was
originally set up for a cooperative effort between Customs and the ATF, if
I recall. Both agencies had it in their respective radios, but I have only
hear Customs use it for years. I have heard it in use all over the US, but
it first seemed to make it's appearance around the Gulf states, probably
back in the 80's...
