Interestingly, but it appears that ALL of CAP's new mobile/base, repeaters, 
& portables will be capable of operating digital P25 standard as well as NFM 
mode.  CAP headquarters is encouraging units to use in the digital mode and 
report their experiences to headquarters.  Units have been requested to set 
the receiver in the mixed mode to receive NFM transmissions also.  CAP 
corporate radios apparently will be able to operate also in an encrypted 
mode.  Should be interesting to see & hear what they find out regarding P25 
usage versus NFM usage (as in NFM works better & they wasted a heck of a lot 
of money on P25 gear!!!).  Individual members owning radios will most likely 
continue to use NFM.

I believe that CAP's frequencies including the new ones are in the November 
edition of "Monitoring Times" magazine  as well as at:
