Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but my
assumption was all federal agencies moving
to narrowband technology were required to
have encryption capabilities as part of
Project 25. I think the thought of CAP using
encryption is downright laughable, but I
wouldn't be surprised if they did it with the
paranoia they've created.

 From what I've listened to in the DFW metro
that have gone to the P25 standard, most, if
not all (law enforcement entities) , have
extensive encryption capabilities, and use
them often (BICE/CBP, USSS, DOJ Interop,
TIGTA/IRS CID)

On a separate note - POTUS was in town last
night for a rally. Complete encryption on the
USSS/WHCA frequencies all day and evening.
The most active were 164.8875, 166.5125, and
166.700.
