"Monitoring Times" magazine (www.monitoringtimes.com) (November 2006
edition) 'Fed Files" column provides superb information that hobbyists "can
readily" use in the following sub topics:
*New FAA Command & Control VHF LMR Network (26 frequencies)
*Federal Trunked Systems in NYC (7 federal/military trunking systems
including the new Ft Hamilton 380 mhz system (50+ frequencies)
*Pittsburg Area Scanning (50+ frequencies)
In addition, Chris' blog www.mt-fedfiles.blogspot.com also provides
additional frequency information that "couldn't fit" in the bi monthly
column.
Since Chris' job keeps him on the road throughout the United States, he is
in a unique position to visit many geographical areas to first hand discover
federal frequencies in use by placing the scanner in the "search mode" in
the various federal bands, as well as using "close call" capture on one of
his portables.
I'd again like to thank Chris for his efforts as not only a columnist but as
a participating hobbyists in scooping those elusive federal frequencies!!!
