[FedCom] Search Versus Program Separate Frequencies?

Well high capacity memory scanner such as the BCD996T, allows very large
amounts of frequencies to be programmed into memory.

162-174 mhz in 12.5 khz steps, there's 961 frequncies
406.025-420.0000 mhz in 12.5 khz steps, there's 1119 frequencies

So should one program in a few banks in there BC996T's to actually scan
these bands or should one just use the Search mode, two separate ranges?
Of course the 996 does have the capability to search & scan at the same
time. So adding to the possibility, could one program in these frequencies
& scan and also search at the same time to two ranges.....

Anyone try any of these methods?

Ken
