[FedCom] Search Versus Program Separate Frequencies?

Wow I really didn't get to the point with this post.

So here it goes Is it more effective to program into the scanner's memeory 
all of the federal frequencies & than scan that bank OR just put the scanner 
in the search mode for those two frequency bands?
