Any chance that these new repeaters are actually
remote receiver sites that are feeding into one 'park
wide' repeater? It might take some real detective work
to figure this out. I guess you would have to sit up
on Clingmans Dome and listen to the various freqs - if
a unit in the East end of the park was only readable
via one of the freqs, then you could deduce that you
were listening to a remote receiver site that was
located in the eastern end of the park.

Shenandoah NP on RR about 6 months ago.
