I think there's your answer.


I wondered from day one how many of these 165, 168 and 173 MHz freqs 
that the FB1 was putting in weren't really links to other repeaters 
within range.  Esp. since they shut down all their UHF links about 
the same time. Course, a lot of those went to common carriers.
E.g.: Whenever one of the two agents in Vancouver, WA talks, it also
brings up 173.1, the "Defiance Link" (Mt. Defiance), the freq. they 
talk to Seattle on. (They are the only ones left in the clear around 
Portland.)

Before I quit trying, it was getting impossible to try and match up 
all the frequencies that were being keyed simultaneously. Took all 
the fun out of it. That and digital.

BTW: From Mr. Doe's list - the 173 freq for Portland is all digital, 
all the time.
