Rod, Blaine, others, the group:

ALL the "clues" were provided. If you went to the blog, it specifically
told you to start with what you knew (e.g. all the CAP current frequencies
in use) & than work your way out. IF you did this you would have seen the
results of the "knowns".... The "advanced" internet search technique,
should also have been your clue that you all needed to pay special attention
to what the search results were displaying. The information was in "plain"
sight! LOL!!!

I really don't know why anyone needs to be upset (couple hundred
hobbyists?). I really didn't have to post any of this information. Granted
it was a bit of a puzzle & it was specifically put in the blog so that I
could control/revise content. IF anyone had been confused about the
technique, just a simple "private" email to me would have cleared up any
questions. I got very little email traffic on this!

Again though, IF you don't want to spend the time doing this, than simply
start searching the military VHF bands when your "known" local CAP repeater
frequencies go dead. It's also possible that the CAP frequencies listed in
the search results were actually changed after that referenced document (in
the dead link) was published so the entire time spent searching &
downloading may be a fruitless exercise.

Although I have seen some improvement on this list. Many hobbyists still
don't seem to know how to (or discipline/desire to) use the "search"
function in their scanners. NO matter what frequency information is posted
here, IF you don't search the federal bands in your geographic area & only
depend upon what is posted here OR is published in hobby magazines there a
good chance you are missing out on some federal activity in your area.
"Searching" is the "FUN" side of this hobby!!!

Remember that 'hobby' is defined as an activity or interest pursued outside
one's regular occupation and engaged in primarily for pleasure! Keep all of
this in perspective!!!
