Then it's good sales talk from a personal friend
of mine that works for an agency, and has done
the installs on a suspects vehicle.

It is, and does. It utilizes the car battery for
operation as well as increased transmit power.

This can be mounted in other hidden locations as well.
I don't believe the GPS has to be used constantly. My
impression was that it's available if need be, if
they want visuals. Data only is certainly an option.
