You'll find a lot of prison traffic to be routine stuff. Headcount start and end
notification, prisoner movement notification to concerned units, requests for
float officers to visit units to provide breaks, officers locating other
officers, that kind of thing.

If your friendly neighborhood gaol appears to use standard APCO 10 Codes, keep
an ear open for 10-33 calls - those will be the calls going out when things
start happening.

The landline telephone is the preferred medium of choice for sensitive
communications. Cell phones are *not* permitted inside any prison worthy of its
name. Not for staff and, of course, certainly not for the guests.
