COMMENT: Do you think it was actually 167.6375 which Grove's
"Federal Frequency Directory" 2nd edition, lists as an FBI nationwide
frequency
>
> 170.375R - US Post Office trucks - clear analog - I
> think they haul the mail between post offices
COMMENT: Did you get a CTCSS tone on this one? Grove's reference
does show this as a potential USPS assignment. Where is the nearest Bulk
Mail
Center Sorting facility in relation to you? I know here in the Springfield
MA area we also
have a transporation frequency used at the BMC.

> 4 building" - anyone know who these guys are?
COMMENT: Grove's reference indicates that this is a "spectrum" hole,
which means basically during narowband rebanding got used. In the
Springfield
area the USPS used some of the new splits. It does sound like it's a VA
type
hospital. Again did you get a CTCSS?
> 407.775 - had lots of loud digital (?P25?) traffic
> recently when a water main broke near the old federal
> courthouse on Devonshire St in downtown Boston
COMMENT: Grove's reference indicates USSS nationwide & a federal trunking
group frequency.
Don't know what you equipment limitations are but you might want to start
saving to
get a P25 capable scanner with CTCSS/DCS decode.
