See http://oep-ndms.dhhs.gov/fcc.html This is a very interesting concept!!!
Does anyone know where the Federal Coordinating Centers are located? I got
the impression that the FCC's utilize a web based reporting system of beds
availability (which I assume are broken down by surgical & medical
sub-specialities, especially for the very limited specialities such as brain
surgery) to the USAF GPMRC at Scott AFB IL. As far as radio comms. I'm
guessing that the "on scene" DMAT's & AF Immediate Response assessment teams
(IRAT's) are actually going to use SAT comms to Scott AFB rather than any HF
SSB.
At the various patient receiving locations, I'm also assuming that the
typical civilian EMS freqs (perhaps the specific one designated for disaster
use) are going to be used to communicate with the hospitals by the various
transporting ambulances. Of course since the Air Force is going to be
evacuating the patients, than typical Aero Traffic Control, Command Post,
Base Operations Freqs will be used. I'm wondering if perhaps at civilian
airports a special Arinc licensed "discrete" frequency is going to be used
at the receiving airports or perhaps the FBO's frequency. Military base
wise, perhaps it will be the Base Ops and/or Command Post.
