Thanks for the post about that.  I have ran across that, but it is a good 
reminder.

Have they come to this for VHF yet?  I suppose UHF has almost 14 mHz and VHF 
has about 12 mHz.  Perhaps a similar scheme would work:

     162.0125-165.9875 MHz - repeater outputs
     166.0000-170.0000 MHz - simplex
     170.0125-173.9875 MHz - repeater inputs

Also, is anybody here using a GRE-500 for federal monitoring yet?  If so, 
does it work out pretty well with the ability to decode NAC codes, etc?
