This was returned a couple of times when Fedcom was apparently "down" for some reason. Since they're obviously back up, I'm resending it now. This was about possible training activities over the air.

Can't argue with that. The suspicious stuff I've heard has mostly been from DEA on uhf. Midday "surveillances" in Overland Park, KS punctuated with things like, "You guys wanna knock off and get some lunch?" "Yeah, we can do some more after we eat." I've never driven over to see who's the fox and who are the hounds, but I really do believe those are familiarization exercises (locales, one-way streets, etc.). Who really knows?

DEA seems to be the last 3-letter agency around here to get any kind of encryption. They're known to use old beat-up analog Motorola HTs. So much for "the war on drugs".

I apologize for waxing too sarcastic about the whole thing.

In all the years 30+ of monitoring the 167.9 Hz Federal Agency in Boston
there was ONLY ONE drill monitored on the Radio and everyone in the
world knew it was a drill.

HRT as part of a Drill at the Airport.
Actually confirmed the REVERSE usage [input was the Repeater]
