Terry and all,
I guarantee that 410.4875 Mhz also uses the 9 MHz split. It is one of the
new splinter freqs that was carved out of the old 25 kHz spectrum when this
portion of the spectrum was switched over to 12.5 kHz. Based on all of the
NTIA guidance and instructions, any of the new assignments within this band
had to follow the new band plan per chapter 4 of the Red Book. Your input
for the FRS channel 2 repeater is 419.4875 MHz.
In the last two weeks we are seeing wholesale changes in this band in our
local area. The UHF links for the USFS Chattahoochee NF switch over from
their 411 MHz freqs to 406 MHz. The 411 MHz area is now reserved for simplex
ops. The other side of the links on 415 MHz have remained the same so they
now matchup with the new 406 MHz freqs (9 MHz splits). We have several other
agencies which have popped up in the last day or two that we are still
trying to nail down. Looks like everyone is trying to get their work done
before the 1 Jan 2008 deadline.
It has been fun to search the 406.1 - 420 MHz range and see changes nearly
everyday. ;-)))
73 all and good hunting,
