Picked up P-25 traffic, some encrypted, on USSS Baker channel (165.7875)
while driving through Sanford & Wells, Maine today (Thursday.) POTUS #41
& #43 historically land at the Sanford airport for the trip to their
family retreat on Walker's Point in Kennebunkport, Maine. Traditionally,
restricted airspace NOTAMs are posted ahead of time. Can any pilots in
northern New England confirm this? I also observed fighter aircraft
running ops out of Brunswick Naval Air Station (BNAS) but was not able
to monitor any UHF traffic at that point. Normally BNAS flies P-3
Orions, with minimal fighters.

Car rental companies are prepping extra SUV's (Yukons, etc.) for
delivery to Kennebunk this weekend to support the anticipated entourage.
Should be good simplex radio traffic, too.

Experts on the List, what has your experience been as to comms used by
foreign heads of state? Does the Diplomatic service provide them to
their bodyguards they (foreign dignitaries) bring with them, or do they
run "renegade" on their own frequencies and/or equipment? There must be
some higher level of coordination.

"Echelons above my pay grade."

Best to the Group!

Loren
