FWIW, I personally have not heard US Marshalls SOG
teams or units in a very long time (circa 90-91').
At the time I was living in St. Pete, Florida. USM had
tracked down a nationwide wanted person at a bayside
bar less than a mile from my apartment. I listened to
the whole surveillance and takedown process on my
scanner. At the time, they used 164.600 in simplex mode
and units simply identified as "SOG 1, SOG 2, etc."
But I would tend to agree in today's age of technology
and out of control paranoia of everything, NEXTEL is
probably used.
