Jeff, you might be thinking of the former Customs, now Customs & Border
Protection National Law Enforcement Communications Center in Orlando. They
control repeater sites all over the US and US territories. Formerly heard as
"Sector" over the radio, it's now known as CHARLIE 100 in the continental
US. They dispatch for CBP and ICE as well as other agencies that have
contracted for dispatch service.
That's about the only national dispatch center that I know of. Other
agencies, like Postal Inspectors, Federal Protective Service and DEA use
regional dispatch centers that have overlapping capabilities.
