Hello Chris & the group:

Thanks for your input Chris.

I've noted though that all of your scanners use AA batteries rather than 
battery packs.  I would think that if someone with a BC296D had an extra 
battery pack in their carry on luggage, it's probably going to get pulled 
out of the bag & specifically looked at just because of what it would look 
like on the xray machine.
