[FedCom] air force base communications and encryption

Now that you ask, I'm sitting here scratching my head trying to remember where I wrote 'em down. You'd think that after 40+ yrs. of monitoring that I'd have perfect records. Just the opposite. The Eisenhower Center in Abilene, KS uses either 415.2 or 417.2, but I can't remember which one. The Truman Library in Independence, MO used to have a Secret Service presence on 165.2125, but no more. I'll list the uhf simplex channel when I locate it again.

I was surprised to read that some of the presidential libraries and museums weren't given federal allocations. BTW, the Herbert Hoover Library in West Branch, IA was allocated a 169 MHz. channel, but in several trips by there I've never heard a transmission, and I checked each time. This isn't too surprising considering the very few transmissions from the other two presidential libraries around here (I'm in NE KS).

Bob,

What particular frequencies do the Eisenhower & Truman libraries use?

TIA,

John
