Greeting Chris and list -
Here in DFW, IRS CID used to run ops on 418.225 repeater
and simplex, and I believe 418.175 repeater and simplex.
However, they are no longer in my fed scan bank, as I have
not heard any activity on these frequencies in years, and
believe the repeaters have been dismantled in lieu of
transition to P25 VHF hi band. They do have a metrowide
repeater on 165.950, however, it has seen very little use
over the last year or so. Encrypted quite a bit. But when in the
clear, a lot of signal testing. I believe they also have a channel on
167.000 but used even less than 165.950.
I know when I lived in St. Louis, these folks were active all the
time. Very fun to listen to around tax time, and when they were
running joint ops with DEA on a drug kingpin. I remember they
busted one dude there who had about a million in cash in his
house...:)
