Recent monitored activity 409.9375 Repeater (p25 digital), where the mobile 
was in Framingham MA and transmitting unencrypted back to dispatch. 
Dispatch was transmitting back to the mobile unit encrypted p25/digital. 
Now in the past I also thought that at times the mobiles transmitted 
encrypted and the dispatcher answered unencrypted both p25/digital.  Others 
in New England?

Also has anyone been able to determine how many repeaters/remote bases 
regionally are actually keyed up by mobile units?   I've also heard mention 
about the Boston area.

Using the Postal Inspectors locator function 
http://www.usps.com/ncsc/locators/find-is.html it appears that all the New 
England states are handled by a central office in Boston, MA -- so I would 
assume the dispatcher is there??
