Yes, I did remove both of those and they are both used locally in
Minneapolis/Saint Paul Minnesota area. KSTP has 166.250 and WCCO has
170.150. During my entire workday today I only heard three P25 conventional
frequencies active. They were TSA, VA Hospital, and FPS. I did notice,
however, that my GRE PSR-500 does not seem to scan all that fast. I timed
it and it took something 75 seconds to go through all of the frequencies
that I had programmed. When I did the math it came out to about 25 channels
per second. Since I had the frequencies in ascending order, I actually
thought it mat have had a faster scan speed. Anyway, considering the scan
speed and the number of frequencies that I was going through, I could have
easily missed other traffic that just happened to be active, but was missed.
I might try switching to the AUTO mode tomorrow to see how much analog
traffic there still is in the federal bands.
