Actually, the only Blackhawk I've seen is a CBP UH-60
painted jet black with a large gold stripe down the
side. Military Blackhawks are actually a IR reflective
dull dark green with black lettering, not "black."
They do, however, look black at night for obvious
reasons!
I have to agree with Mr. Rankin here on the CAP thing.
Calling for their frequencies to be "classified" and
encrypted is absolutely rediculous and a total waist
of taxpayer money. The organization was created to be
an observation and S&R support arm of the Air Force,
not special forces, secret agents, or cred carrying
feds. Basically they are an organized civilian group
with cell phones and expensive radios, who when they
see a dude with a towel around his head messing with a
natural gas rig, should call the cops!
Narrow band digital, that's fine, everyone in the
government, and eventually all radio systems will
eventually have to make the switch because of limited
radio spectrum.
JM2$W, and no disrespect intended!
