I would pretty much go along with 169.825 as a starting point, like
everyone says.
When Mt. St. Helens blew back in nineteen-hunnert and eighty, that was
the frequency used by the first people in here.
They subsequently put in a repeater on 168.425 which is still in use
today. The input is 167.075.
A couple of years ago, they added a second repeater on the north side of
the mountain, linked to the first one on 164.675.
Its input is none other than 169.825.
Most of the numerous telemetry frequencies from sites plastered all over
the mountain are on 162, 166 and 406 MHz telemetry freqs., but are used
by the University of Washington (not USGS), who study such activity in
their academic pursuit.
