Anybody watch Manhunters on A&E?

While they use a variety of person to person comms, their handheld control heads used in vehicles seem to look like this:

The most recent episode I saw showed the taskforce leader loading up an equipment bag into which he placed a pretty small looking portable.  It was definitely not your typical Moto P25 portable (you could beat someone with an XTS-5000)...looked more like a small Vertex portable.  Anybody get a better look?

Anybody familiar with USMS equipment?


The show itself is mediocre, but it is TV, so I'm not expecting a lot.  It is interesting to see the variety of comms (USMS radios vs NYPD radios vs Nextel, etc) depending on their situation and who is involved. Of course, I suspect that some of the radio conversation shots are even staged for the benefit of better TV.
