[FedCom] Boston TRS - Here Today gone the Next

A little more searching and we [couple of us in Boston] found these as the 
Input to a 400 Mhz TRS
98% Encrypted [One radio - female operator - on the road - mobile or 
portable was in the Clear]

410.9875 R / 401.6125 input
410.8875 R / 401.7125 input
410.5875 R / 402.0125 input
410.3875 R / 402.2125 input
408.9375 R / 403.6625 input

Channels Roated from Lowest Rptr Freq to Highest.

I agree that the "assigned" freqs. and freq. blocks are normally used by the 
asignee, not someone else.  These channels are often assigned by a local 
IRAC frequency coordinator, and one supposes that once in awhile he may put 
the USPS on a channel used in LA or NYC by the Bureau or someone else.  I've 
almost always been successful identifying users based on regional 
assignments (forget SoCal or NY unless you live there).

I would suspect this one of being an image from some other part of the 
spectrum.  It happens to a certain extent with all radios.  My GRE hears 
nearby 453 transmitters at 410 MHz. and other places.  400-406 is allocated 
for satellite uplinks.  A lot of the NWS creek and river measurement systems 
around here use it.  You might check higher up in the 400s to see if you can 
find the system.  It might even be on 7/800.

But who knows?  Keep us posted.
