You have already implicated yourself in this matter.
1) You posted information about something that apparently should not have been posted.
2) You apparently looked at that info.
3) You continue to speak about that info.
The best thing for you to do is send everyone the link. Otherwise, when an access audit is performed you, Chinese spies, and Russian spies will probably be the only non-government IP address that are identified. Once your IP address is identified as being in the US, your case will certainly be fastracked because there will not be any diplomatic procedures to deal with (I assume you are a US citizen.).
As long as you are the only one looking at these documents you can expect all of the penalties. If there are others looking at the docs, then it becomes so much more complicated: separate trials?, joint trials?, multiple jurisdictions?, etc. So much more complicated that the agency in question would probably just drop the entire matter instead of going after you.
It really would be better for you to not be the sole person looking at these documents. Proceed accordingly.
John
P.S. I am not a lawyer so do not use any of the above in place of advice from a legal advisor.

Subject: [FedCom] Re - Penalties for release of SBU ???
To: fedcom at mailman.qth.netReply-To: Discussion of Federal Government Communications <fedcom at mailman.qth.net>
1. I found the SBU item at a unprotected federal website - no password was required to access the document. The document is in a cluster of 4 radio freq documents - the 3 other links are dead.
2. I actually found another document today that includes a password to a protected federal frequency (ftp) website. (I would rather have the password to Fort Knox thank you :-)
3. I dont want to post the link to the SBU item - I dont think a Fed judge would look kindly on the "I just posted a link" excuse.
