Bryan, here in New England we have noticed the opposite

Yea, some still use Zello and PTT Cellular devices, but they have been
burned by relying on that technology. Now used as an adjunct
PM'ing someone and then finding out they are not your back-up as they are on
VAC, Opps. And you are walking into the house alone

Hence the build out in regions of Massive ICE/BP Vote-Scan Networks

And then those of us in the hobby know, that it is NOT ALL ENC, but so many
of the new Scanners need a data dump
And folks don't want to SEARCH or Manually add the Data.

Then the Generic, it is ENC nothing to hear, moving along

I think most of the conversation has gone to newer tech like RadioReference
and Facebook groups.

Its also my understanding most agencies have gone to cellphones for everyday
comms and some of the agencies that do still use radios are now encrypted.

Here in Las Vegas, FBI and USMS comms, with the exception of surveillances,
are now encrypted. DHS FPS is still in the clear. I no longer hear TSA, but
its likely just my location. BLM and NPS is still in the clear. USFS and
NIFC has changed several freqs, HTF Forest Net is now on 172.2750.
