This is so wrong headed it isn't even funny. Google doesn't index databases because they can't be crawled.  So yeah, you use the official FCC link you find but only because someone posted it on a website that Google CAN crawl. That is bound to be an incomplete search.

I don't know if it is a directive or not, but most government databases can be downloaded directly if for some reason you don't want to use their website but rather search on your own hardware. I have done this with both the FCC and the FAA using sqlite3. The FCC can require table joins in your SQL. The FAA not so much but you will have to search one database to to get the keys to search another database.

My problem with the FCC website is you can't search for transmitters based on emission code.
