Hi  Bill, I Have both a BCD436 HP and an SDS100 and an Icom ICR30.  When I do search around for federal activity it is a range either from 162-174 and 406-420 MHz.  Albany is a hike from me, and so is New York City where I understand the federal bands are quite

Probably too far for Albany, but there is plenty to be found, with a little effort in the SEARCH Mode.

What are you using for a search Range(s) and Scanner ?
