Years ago, PDX used to have a link on 419.025 for their VHF final approach frequency. They had something of a blind spot to the east, up the Columbia Gorge.
They built their new, taller control tower and no longer needed it.
But why would anyone need to relay their GROUND frequency? How big, geographically, is that airport? Does the frequency really even belong to FAA?
Just curious.
Geo.
