[FedCom] 143.425 CTCSS 156.7

Could (just assumptions on my part) be an off-base RX site being beamed back to the Field vs Wireline/Microwave

USCG used to have one at a great site in Maine, as a remote to/from the VHF Marine channels.
Always made for leaving in the radios, to confirm a band opening.

Similar to what many of us did with the Canadian WX Channels (Non US)

Good question. Don't know why but it's nice to hear the ground units from
my location in Ct. That airport is not big by any stretch, but it is the
home of the 106th Rescue Wing with my Sikorsky Pave Hawk helos that I
helped produce. If you remember "the Perfect Storm" movie. The aircraft
that responded to that rescue came from Gabreski.
