OK gang...here's your chance to pay $350 for a TTY that needs work, has a non-standard keyboard, no documentation, and was probably bought for less than $100. Expensive paperweight...but a lovely description.
Heck...I'll sell you one of mine (with a non-broken keyboard) for $300!

	For auction is a new 100 WPM Model 28 Compact.  A table top KSR officially called the  US Navy & Army Signal Corps AN/UGC-77
Representing the pinnacle of M28 Technology

The only problems I see with this set is the keyboard pinions need restoration or repinning.  These snapped when the unit was shipped to me originally.  There are 
many ways to repin and I decided it was better to let
the new owner make this call.

 
When this is done, the key pushrods which rest in a series of slots will need to be checked for proper placement after the keyboard pins have been replaced.

  

Nevertheless, there's nothing quite like a very pretty M28 unit.  For those of you unable to accomodate the room a full KSR requires, here is a unit for you.  

  

If you've avoided buying a M28 because you just don't have time for the overhaul, cleaning and repair, this would be a good candidate.  Requires minimum room.  
If you are a collector and need an example of the compact M28, here is a good one which can serve as a standard to compare others by.

Payment by bank check or money order.  Buyer's take note: this is a very heavy unit and must be shipped in two cartons.  Buyer must pay $40 for packing and handling plus the winning bid amount plus FedEx Economy Ground shipping which is the least expensive method to date.  By bidding, buyer accepts these provisions and agrees to pay within 10 days of auction close.  Buyer further accepts the "as is" nature of a vintage piece along with all responsibility for proper use, maintenance and operation.  No manual is available but some documentation is supplied along with suggestions for further information sourcework.
